6 Reasons to visit
Art, above all, and nearby at that: in less than a 10 minutes stroll, you can get to the area known as the Triángulo del arte (Art triangle), whose geographical vertexes lead to the 3 most important museums in Madrid: the Prado, the Thyssen and the Reina Sofía. Additionally, just a bit further on you will find other relevant art centers, such as the Casa Encendida, the Caixa Forum, the new Valle Inclán Theater, the Price Circus…
Restaurants of all types are grouped around the Plaza de Lavapié (square) offering you a variety of succulent cuisine with the best of Spanish (Galician, Asturian, Basque…) and international (Indian, Thai, Asian…) dishes.
Taverns, bars and tea-houses turn the Lavapiés neighborhood into a “must-see” of leisure centers that is perfect for enjoying traditional tapas.
“Rastro” is a word that has a very special connotation in Madrid. Every Sunday, Madrileños and foreigners alike can come together in this open-air street market where books, paintings and all types of antiquities patiently await the arrival of collectors and curious bypassers…
Imagine leaving the hotel, and, in just a few minutes, arriving on foot to some of the main tourist attractions in the city: the Puerta del Sol (square), the Plaza Mayor (square), the Gran Vía, the Royal Palace, the Debod Temple… So, now you have two options: 1. Keep imagining; 2. Come stay at the Artrip…
Parks and gardens are important attractions in our busy city… “Green lungs”, such as the Buen Retiro Park and the Botanical Garden offer an attractive option for enjoying a good walk while being surrounded by nature… As you can see, we’re close to it all.
